212 Built Stage 3 Motor
Predator 212 Stage 3 Built Racing Engine (Hemi)
Overview
Purpose-built 212cc single-cylinder OHV race engine tuned for 4500–7500+ RPM operation. Ideal for sprint karting, mini bikes, and short-track applications. Delivers explosive mid-to-top end with reliable high-RPM durability.
Key Upgrades
Induction: 22 mm round-slide carburetor (WC22/Mikuni-style) with open filter and adapter; rejetted and bench-tuned for high-flow.
Camshaft: .260–.265 in lift race cam (e.g., TTS-265 “Banzai” profile) with 26 lb valve springs for strong pull from ~4500 to 7000+ RPM.
Flywheel: Lightweight billet aluminum flywheel with advanced timing (approx. 32–34°) and high-energy magnets; Hemi taper.
Bottom End: Billet connecting rod (ARC 3.308) for 5500+ RPM+ durability; governor removed.
Cylinder Head: Ported/matched intake and exhaust, performance valve job; fire-ring or performance head gasket for sealing at high cylinder pressure.
Exhaust: Tuned header recommended, 0.930–0.960 in ID for open pipe performance (muffler optional; use racing muffler only).
Fasteners/Assembly: HD hardware, new side cover gasket, precision clearances set for high-RPM reliability.
Performance
Power: Approximately 15–18+ HP on gasoline with proper header and jetting; higher with additional head work and fuel.
RPM Range: Usable band ~4500–7500+ RPM depending on cam, header, and load.
Clutch/Converter: Target clutch engagement 3800–5000 RPM for best launch and midrange.
Fuel: 91–93 octane recommended; race gas or methanol builds require corresponding carb and timing changes.
